|
|
Hello i've got a strange problem when i try to upgrade my system:
Code: |
outpost etc # emerge -up --deep world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating world dependencies |
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "scanner0".
!!! Problem with ebuild kde-base/kde-3.1.4
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.
!!! Depgraph creation failed.
|
I think the problem is in the kdegraphics ebuild:
Code: |
outpost root # emerge -up kdegraphics
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies /
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "scanner0".
!!! Error calculating dependencies. Please correct.
|
Can anybody help?

|
|
Hiho,
I think my problem is a bug in portage:
From the kdegraphics-eBuild:
Code: |
newdepend "gphoto2? ( >=media-gfx/gphoto2-2.0_beta1 )
dev-lang/perl
scanner? ( media-gfx/sane-backends )
...
|
When i remove/change the "scanner?" line, it works fine! - It seems to be a problem between the USE-Variable "SCANNER" and then device "scanner0"!
I plugged off my scanner and remove the file in /dev/usb, but it did not help.
With an old portage version it works!

Can you see if this is mentioned on bugs.gentoo.org and report it if not?
Thanks.
