Right now ever since I added and then removed the snd-pcm-oss driver to /etc/modules.d/alsa while booting it says:

If you watch that line closely during boot up, I think you'll notice it first says 'loading sound driver: snd-ens1371' or something, then it gets overwritten by 'setting font'. I'm using framebuffer, and I've seen this happen to me, dunno why.

Hmm. I'm not using framebuffer. But I'll take what you said because sound still seems to be working.
