I'm getting the following error message in XMMS.
# <Init> : Avifile CVS-020731-07:34-3.1
<Init> : Available CPU flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr sse

You've probably found a bug in XMMS, please visit
http://bugs.xmms.org and fill out a bug report.
I can startup XMMS play the first MP3 in a dir and after that it crashes or, if I select another song it crashes.
I'm using aRTs Driver 0.4 for the Output Plugin!
I've emerge xmms & emerge media-sound/xmms-arts
Wasn't sure if I should Post this to Desktop or Hardware?
Has anyone else recieved this error or can help me?
Thank you, |

Does this happen with any of the other output plugins, or just the arts. Also, what version of arts is this plugin compiled against? |

OSS & Esound don't work at all, gives the message to use a different output, from my forum searching, I found that arts works with XMMS. What driver are you using?
arts-1.0.2
xmms-1.2.7-r11
xmms-arts-0.4-r3
KPortageMaster really makes things easy to find!
Is that what you needed?
Anyone haveing a problem emerge rsync this morning? |

hmmm.... OSS should work regardless... Do you have sound from other apps? If so, what sound driver are you using? |

Hallo all !
I encountered the same errors with xmms-arts.
I changed to oss output and the you have to start xmms via the artsdsp-wrapper(do in a shell 'artsdsp xmms'), because the artsd has occupied the sound device. (which is actually no error but his job)
Drizzt
P.S. in the KDE-Menu the startup command must look like
this: 'artsdsp' xmms |
