Hi everyone!
Does anyone have been able to compile garnome (gnome 2.0) with Gentoo?
I got error on glade-convert (something like that) and I check out on Garnome's homepage and it seems I need Python with XML support. So I did a emerge python, still no sucess at compiling Garnome.
I was wondering if XML was supporting in the ebuild of Python?
Any luck with Garnome anyone?
Thanks! |

Hi!
You shoud check out http://www.gentoo.org/~spider/
Note that there is a reason these are not in the portage tree yet, so don't attempt unless you are a confident Gentoo linux user.

I just finished getting and making garnome as per the instructions http://www.gnome.org/~jdub/garnome/ with no problems. I'm a little lost on what files I need to edit to make it work though, anybody know what i need to do. The instructions on the url only cover debian. I'm new to linux so I'm unsure how to proceed. I'm still running around naked and happy about getting it up and running. This is my first experience with linux and I have to say I'm very impressed (with the help on the forums as well) |
