KMuddy still a KDE3 app - alternatives?

I have recently tried to get rid of the old KDE3 stuff including dependencies, but there's still an application I am using in my job: kmuddy
Kmuddy is a MUD Client - a script-able telnet client with a separated input field which I use for accessing the cisco switches which really speeded up my work on that bricks...

Is there an alternative for KDE4 or did someone try making an ebuild of one of the beta versions to be run on kde4?

There is kde4 version of that thingie. Feel free to open bug about it we might bump it then :]
