Switching themes in nautilus 2 does not produce the desired result; I've tried all the default themes and added jimmac's, too, but no matter what I do the nautilus toolbar buttons won't change - and I hate them! The folder icons DO change, so I know something is going on. Also, galeon no longer seems to get the right buttons from nautilus either when you select "nautilus" in its toolbar options. I want my purty yellow Ximian buttons back, and I want nautilus and galeon to match - what do I do?

Also haven't found any solution. Can change the appearance of Nautilus by GTK (color and buttons) and Metacity (borders) but the icons seem to be hardcoded. That's really a pity because you could change them in galeon. Until there is a workaround I've disabled the toolbar in nautilus.

As I understand it, gtk themes in gtk2 have the ability to change icons (not 100% sure on this, I just remember hearing it somewhere) so when some gtk2 themes come along with nice toolbar icons, those in nautilus and galeon2 will change (probably...)

That's right. The toolbar buttons in Nautilus are themed with gtk+, so you need to get a theme for that if you want to change them. Nautilus themes just change the icons and spinner.

I've changed my gtk+ and gtk+ themes
The buttons in Nautilus (back, forward, up) show the borders and outlines of the gtk+2 themes, but don't change the hard coded button icons.

Anyone fix this yet?
