Office and quicken

Can i get office 97 an quicken 99 working w/ wine? If so what tricks do i need to use? i couldn't get office setup to work w/ winex (i somehow killed winehq wine so haven't tried it yet). If i use the codeweavers source will it work better (b/c of crossover office)?

I know oo.org is available, but this is for my mom and she'll do a better job of learning linux one step at a time. (first step being K)
