XF86Config mouse setup for a PS/2 mouse with or w/o scroll ?

I have a HP laptop with a pad used as a "simple" 2 buttons PS/2 mouse (without scroll). I use it for example when the laptop is with me on my bed ;-)

...
But it's also on a desk, then I plug in a USB mouse with a scroll and 3 buttons ; in that case the XF86Config mouse (setup for the native mouse), this one does not work : I have to edit my XF86Config to declare the "IMPS2 mouse with 3 buttons", and comment in the declaration of the "native" laptop mouse.
Is there a way to have a unique declaration which would work for the 2 mouses ? Or any clues to make it more simple than editing each time the XF86Config file :-(
