Found Driver for Canon i550 ! :D But can't install.. I'm too

I found some drivers for the Canon i550

But when i trie to install them... i get the following:

Ok some dependencies... but i don't know them... Could somebody make an ebuild out of these...

Are you still trying to do this?

I think I know how - all we need is the .ppd file out of the rpm, and we can just use the gentoo cups docs for the rest

There are ppd files in the tarball for canonpixus 550/850 and 950 in bjfiltercups-2.2-0.i386.rpm. Extract those and try to use them with CUPS/foomatic. I don't have the printers, so I cannot test anything for you.

There's a lot more in the tarballs, ink-level control etc. BTW.
