Hey all,
I was just replying back to an email from our IT manager. It sounds like Gentoo is going to be replacing Slackware as our "official" company Linux distro.
I think Portage is what killed Slack. Being able to grab security patches using emerge is just too easy.
This encompasses a few big servers, and a bunch of high-end workstations. Maybe even our company website if things go well over time.
I'm just geeked, and I wanted to share
