Hey guys,
I am seriously considering getting a Fujitsu Lifebook B2630 but I was wondering if anybody had any experience/tips for running gentoo on it.

The technical specifications from fujitsu are here:
http://www.fujitsupc.com/www/products_notebooks.shtml?products/notebooks/tech_specs/b_series_summer03_ts

The modem is probably just a winmodem so I may or may not be able to get that to work with drivers from linmodems.org (I really dont care about the modem though)

There is a touchscreen mouse driver for older models of B series Lifebooks here:
http://tuxmobil.org/touch_laptops.html
But I have no idea if they will work with newer models.
(Maybe I should mail the developers first)

I'm not sure if there will be any issues with the ATI® Mobility RADEON 1GB340M graphics controller (I'll serch the forums if that question has already been asked a million times)

I'm also looking for somewhere to buy it without paying the Microsoft Tax.

Thanks in advance...

I don't know if this will be of any help, or if you've allready found it, but I'm just happy that this page exists. They don't have your exact model either but who knows....

I'm running gentoo on a fujitsu biblo mg12c and its works great, except that i don't know about the modem or quickpanel buttons because i don't really care about them.

Go Fujitsu! (down with dell!)
Have fun
