The gcc man page has disappeared!
I use gcc 4.3.2 on amd64.

The file /usr/share/gcc-data/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.3.2/man/man1/gcc.1.bz2 has the following content:

I tried to recompile gcc but this page remains the same... how can I get back my precious man page?
Other man pages of the same package (for exemple man gfortran) still exists and have proper content. _________________ Any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.

It might be worth checking the cat version of the man page, which I _think_
is under /var/cache/man. If that's corrupted, remove it and re-run
'man gcc' and see if that improves things.

There is no cached gcc man page in /var/cache/man and also the original man page is empty... I fear some bug from upstream or in the ebuild. _________________ Any mans death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankinde; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.

I am running the same version and arch as you and I can confirm it is missing on my system as well. |
