I was trying to merge mysql and i typed | Code: | | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge Msql-Mysql-modules |
and it told me that the dev-perl/ExtUtils-MakeMaker-6.05-r6 package confilts with this package and both cannot be on the same system together. I dont no what I should do, I only neen Mysql to use with the WaS interface for aimSniff. |

hi,
i have the same problem. i ran an emerge -up system and the same packet seems to cause a conflict! Hope somebody knows what could be wrong with that.

Gentlemen,
BIG WARNING!!!
I know both of you are doing the install based off of someone's forum post. STOP IMMEDIATELY. Dont screw around with stuff. That post led me to the darkside of unstable versions (i.e. ~x86). I have been recompiling EVERYTHING and trying to get her working ever since then.
Good luck. Just, back up what you've done. Go back to stable and secure land. |

AFAIK i have never used unstable packages. and i haven't emerged anything according to a mysterious thread that recommended stuff like this (btw which thread do you mean?).

emerge unmerge the blocked items.
baf: try emerge -U world
emerge -U will only update packages. |
