sandbox ACCESS VIOLATION at the end of emerge

I emerged a few updated packages and all went fine aprt from gnome-games-2

At the end of the process, after compiling I see this
ACCESS DENIED unlink: /usr/share/applications/gnect.desktop

and then emerge stopps with
!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.
!!! Function src_install, Line 7, Exitcode 2
!!! install failure

unlink: /usr/share/applications/gnect.desktop

I searched the forum and found a hint to set SANDBOX_DISABLED=1 .
But that sounds more like a hack. I'd rather know what went wrong and how to get a correct normal ebuild of the package.

Any ideas?

This seems like a problem on the ebuild end. I would look at the ebuild file and find out who authored the file and contact them regarding it. Also file a bug at https://bugs.gentoo.org.

to get around this try
export SANDBOX_DISABLED=1
then re-emerge it
