ok here's the deal: in a furious bout of hatred, having seen my entire website, AND its content dissapear, with a win '98 crash i decided to make my webserver a linux too, couldnt hurt, right?
i did everything as per manual, but forgot to add a new user, and set the new root password!
as a result the root password is still scrambled, and i'm locked out of my would-be webserver!
i also tried to backtrace some install stepl, like chroot .. but that dont work no more, it cant find /bin/bash anymore...
what to do? _________________ [ Censored by unpopular demand] |
