it seems that the current ebuilds are horribly out of date. |

You could always update them yourself; the ebuild syntax really isn't all that hard, and you'd be solving problems for someone else too. _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

|
|
After emerge -u x11-libs/qt-3.0.5 all right-click menus in dcgui went away.
After emerge unmerge qt-dcgui, emerge unmerge dclib, and then
emerge dclib, emerge qt-dcgui same behavior.
Am I missing something obvious? I'm not certain which other qt apps I might check for the same behavior.
Thanks in advance, W |

I unmerged qt-3.0.5, emerged qt-3.0.4-20020606-r3.
Qt-dgui now works again. Kdepim went south with 3.0.5, now segfaults with 3.0.4. Adios, kdepim.
My problems began when I installed php; I did an 'emerge -u' instead of 'emerge', and ended up with new qtlibs as a dependency. Then, after a periodic 'emerge --clean rsync' I did 'emerge -up kde'. Hmm, I thought, what can this hurt? 'Emerge -u kde'. Sigh . . . I imagine KDE'll be in a dependency vortex for me here for a while. Moral, I suppose: careful with 'emerge -u'! _________________ - Res ipsa loquitur . . . sed quid infernos dicet? - |
