So Wayland looks very interesting to me...

Right now I'm working on a Linux gaming rig and it's blowing away my Vista and XP installs! I'm wondering how stupid fast it would be with Wayland running!!!
Anybody tried getting this new x server up and functional? I would be very interested!!! _________________ Registered Linux User: 437619

It's not an X server and it's very much a playground prototype. It's not a drop in replacement, and it may not even end up being faster than X (contrary to popular belief, a lot of the reasons given for why X is sometimes slow are not actually reasons why X is slow). |

I guess we'll find out... I submitted an e-mail to Redhat inquiring about it. I know one of the developers there. I'll be sure to post something if I here anything. _________________ Registered Linux User: 437619
