How can I tell, (if possible) what version of GCC or any compiler for that matter, was used to create a particular binary? |

The version of libc it links may give you a range.
But unless unless it was compiled with debug information, there is no way (that I know). It is supposed to be that way.
A compiler isn't supposed to leave a lot of fingerprints.

With gcc it's not too difficult, even without debug information. _________________ Plants are pithy, brooks tend to babble--I'm content to lie between them.
