I know I can do emerge -e world and recompile the system and if it stops I can do emerge --resume to resume it, but what I do if the package is broken?

I am trying to recompile my system but I keep hitting bad packages (For whatever reason). I remove the bad packages with the emerge -C <package>, but when I resume it, emerge tries to recompile the broken package I just removed. How do I get emerge not to compile something I just removed and still honor a emerge --resume?

What I have been doing is reissuing emerge -e world and restarting the compiles all over again. I am about on 5th recompile!

MrMullen,

You want emerge --resume --skipfirst

Look at emerge --help
