Hi,
Everytime I run emerge world or system - it tries to install grub. I do not use grub, i do not want to use grub, I have no need for grub.
How do i stop it tryign to install ??
I've put -grub in my USE tag

| check for an entry for grub in /var/cache/edb/world. If you find one, try removing it and see what happens. |

Is it providing anything in /var/cache/edb/virtuals?

OK, try commenting out the following line if it exists in your /etc/make.profile/packages:
