Gentoo Sources to 2.4.21 or 22?

Hey, I am curious, does anyone know how long it will be until gentoo-sources is changed to 2.4.21 or 2.4.22?

2.4.22 is considered stable, and thats the only reason I am asking and if this has been asked before, sorry.

At the Gentoo Bug day last week, I picked up that the kernel team had a number of problems with 2.4.21, which was why gentoo-sources hasn't been upgraded.

They'll release when they feel it's good enough. Till then, you can run vanilla-sources for 2.4.20, or with a little more effort 2.6.0-test series.

Marcelo's releases have been stable, 2.4.x was not always that way, and it doesn't mean that changes in the main line kernel, won't affect a patch set, like Gentoo sources and result in work, and effort to get a quality result.

2.4.20 (gentoo-sources)
2.4.21
2.4.22
2.5.75
2.6test5

I have all of those installed... but I was just curious as too why it hadn't been changed yet... thanks for the info from the bug day robdavies
