Well i bought this pocket pc just by looking on its cpu power 400Mhz ..Intel XScale PXA255..looks really nice device for its time. Now i have several questions on accessing it, Ive tried to set it using this pda gentoo manual

Accessing the device:

1]It seemed to be like I cant access this device...I get things like this...

Code: Select all

pls: Unable to initialize RAPI: Unknown error
2]
When ppp0 is started, the configuration starts the /etc/init.d/net.ppp0 init script which is configured through /etc/conf.d/net.ppp0, so you definitely want to take a look at this configuration file.
My ppp0 started and I can see also on the pda itself that its connected to pc...(verified below)..but i dont have the config file, and no init script.....any help how to fix them thanks?

3]Any success story to run gentoo on this pda? That billy oss is starting to get on my nerves...I might consider gentoo on it :)

Verify connections btwn pda-gentoo-pc:
ifconfig:

Code: Select all

ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
          inet addr:192.168.131.102 P-t-P:192.168.131.201 Mask:255.255.255.255
