Cant emerge portage

<sys-apps/portage-2.1.5 (is blocking app-shells/bash-3.2_p39)

Any help would be much apreciated as this could be a bad idea removing 1 of these pkgs.

try updating portage? your bash version is ~, portage is outdated. my portage version is 2.2_rc6 (~amd64).

oh youre trying to update portage, but the old portage version blocks the new bash? then emerge portage without dependencies.
