I'm experiencing a weird problem at the moment, it started some 2 weeks ago, most likely due to some update i emerged. The drive is a SATA DVD burning device and it always worked fine for me. I'm using the in-kernel NVIDIA SATA drivers and have the AHCI drivers modulized. Now the problem that turns up whenever i want to play/rip an audio cd is, that the drive only plays 5 songs (or rips 5 songs) and then stalls (sound-juicer creates 0kb files and then tells me it is done (no error).
It's not even that it was just a matter of duration, even if i start with song number 6, the drive stalls, so it seems as if the drive didn't recognize the tracks correctly. Revdep-rebuild recompiled transcode, sox and ffmpeg, yet that didn't change a thing (although i quite hoped it would).
