|
|
I installed xemacs a few weeks ago and uninstalled it yesterday. But portage wanted to install it again when I executed emerge -pU world. I found out that I had to edit /var/cache/edb/virtuals.
Code: |
virtual/editor app-editors/xemacs app-editors/vim
|
I changed that line to:
Code: |
virtual/editor app-editors/vim
|
And portage no longer tried to emerge xemacs.
Is that a bug? |

Yes, there was a bug in portage versions prior to 2.0.49 that prevented the removal of virtuals. |

Hmm, I thought it was fixed. But if you still have it better place a comment on bug 1891. There was at least one other bug about it, but I haven't found it now. |
