I heard of some problem with Asus's Nforce 2 board and Linux, but then again Nvidia seems too have drivers for linux and such. Basically the main thing you might want to look at is ACPI, go to http://acpi.sf.net and see what they say over there. Other than that rest of the devices are almost the same.

i have a nvidia gf4, and yes.. you have to compile the drivers, always updating, upgrading.. lol but it works great when configured :P
I also heard of some problem with Asus's Nforce 2 board and Linux, but i guess is the same thing.. when you finally make it work, it works smoothly.

btw: try to use a more explicit post subject please

An Nforce2 is faster then a KT400 but not by much especially if you're not using dual-ddr. It's hard to say which motherboard is better, I'd have to know the exact models of each. Both boards work fine in Linux although the kt400 is a little easier.

I don't see what acpi would have to do with anything as most people don't even use acpi.
