I want to use my infrared port on my laptop but I have no idea what sort of IrDA device I have, nor the kernel options that I need to enable.
How can I figure out which drivers to compile in? |

Ok, first you should read this howto... it provides any information you need to start with infrared on linux.
http://www.tuxmobil.org/Infrared-HOWTO/Infrared-HOWTO.html
As for me, i've compiled following options as modules in my kernel:
Code: | <M> IrDA subsystem support |
and
Code: | <M> IrCOMM protocol |
there's an extra menu point for Infrared in the kernel menu, so you should easily find those options. |
