One of which is as follows: if you view an unread topic, both it and the topic above it are marked as read.
Additionally, DST is not accounted for in the dates displayed throughout the forums.
The purpose of this post is to inquire after the status of the fixing of these annoying bugs.
Oh, and I included a little April Fools' joke in the form of a silly poll. Cast your vote! |

- I don't recall ever observing that, though I think I've seen (and seen reports of) the opposite problem: topics not being marked read. It seems to come and go.
- Correct, but not a bug--here's why.
- My unofficial, man-on-the-street reply would be, "Don't hold your breath."

More importantly is it really that important?
Whether a post is marked read or not is pretty minor in comparison to say the poor search function on the forum, and even that is somewhat redundant given you can just use google to search the forums (albeit not the most up-to-the-minute results, but pretty damn good).
The forums exist and contain a lot of useful information and solutions to problems people have encountered. Thats good enough for me.
Besides, there are far more bugs in https://bugs.gentoo.org/
