hi, i idid emerge mod_php mod_ssl and got this error:
checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... no
configure: error: libjpeg not found!
!!! ERROR: dev-php/mod_php-4.3.3 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 324, Exitcode 1
!!! econf failed
what package i need to install for libjpg?

i get this msg too:
* Due to some previous bloopers with PHP and slotting, you may have
* multiple copies of mod_php installed. Please look at the autoclean
* output at the end of the emerge and unmerge all but relevant
* copies.
* Multiple Apache versions detected, using Apache2 (USE=apache2) |

Install without option --nodeps in emerge & emerge make everything.

There is a bug about this in Bugzilla
The method explained in comment #13 works. I tried it myself the same way yesterday. No problems. |
