Gentoo help

Hi, im new to Linux and im going to start off with Gentoo.
Before i download the isos' do i download all the stages ??
or just download the 16 megabyte file.

You'll want to read http://www.gentoo.org/doc/build.html (very carefully :-) Near the beginning it describes in detail what images you need depending on which install method you are using.

download the 16 meg file and burn the image to a cd... and as mentioned before, read the build.html file very carefully... you should be golden
