hi.
i just discovered the write command, nifty 
you can write tosomeuser something by write username atttyx
it will automacitly send to the latest terminal used by the user.. if he has mesg turned on, which my gentoo box has by default. 
it looks like its an old way of chatting to other users on the system.... really nice if you ask me.
(write user terminal, is the syntax)
