|

Hello everybody
I`ve been running Azureus for some time now. Today I tried to run the custom init script to get it up and running. Unfortunately, it terminated with the error :
Code: |
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: $(echo
|
After running java-check-environment I was informed that my config was out of date and was instructed to remove a file which I did. Now the java-check-environment does not complain but I`m getting the same error. Am I missing something here?

After some searching I and a pal of mine`s did we found that there seems to some change in a Java Class or so. After altering this line in gentoo.config of the azureus config files everything worked
Code: |
JAVA_OPTIONS="$(echo $$ > ~/.azureus/azureus_daemon.pid)"
|
which was
Code: |
JAVA_OPTIONS="/$(echo $$ > ~/.azureus/azureus_daemon.pid)"
|
I don`t know exactly why it exhibited this behaviour but everything is working now! |

thx a lot for the solution, i had exactly the same error. it thought it might have something 2 do with the switch to java 1.5, not with java enviroment in general, cauce java-check-enviroment was sane on my system. |
