hi all,
i'm looking into securing my gentoo box so i can start experimenting with remote ssh etc without compromising my system, but anything iptables/netfilter related seems very complicated. the furthest i've got is setting up a firewall that blocks most traffic except stuff that i want, but nothing more sophisticated than that, and i managed to break msn too. i'm comfortable with console and linux in general, but anything network-related is a different language to me
is there a good gui for iptables (that has support for many protocols, and advanced rules such as those that prevent brute-force attacks over ssh)?
thanks! |
