I just emerge --sync and then went to emerge -pvuND world and saw

Code:
[blocks B     ] sys-apps/mktemp (is blocking sys-apps/coreutils-6.10-r1)
[blocks B     ] >=sys-apps/coreutils-6.10 (is blocking sys-apps/mktemp-1.5)

I googled to find the cause of this problem and saw:

http://tinyurl.com/2q9k2o

they say mktemp has now been put in coreutils, so anything depending on mktemp by itself iis a bug and you should report it. I ran equery depends mktemp and had this

Quote:
root@whiteout ~# equery depends mktemp
[ Searching for packages depending on mktemp... ]
sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.10-r5 (!build & !bootstrap? sys-apps/mktemp)
sys-apps/debianutils-2.28.2 (sys-apps/mktemp)

I just synced 5 minutes ago so obviously these are the latest version, so should I make bug reports for each of these depending on mktemp or are the developers already actively searching for these packages?[/url]

emerge --unmerge mktemp because

*coreutils-6.10-r1 (23 Jan 2008)

23 Jan 2008; Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> +coreutils-6.10-r1.ebuild:
As Cardoe points out, mktemp has been integrated into this version, so we
need to block the mktemp package and put the binary in the right place.
