I followed the instructions on both the website and in the readme file as best I could and I am pretty sure I did everthing right. Mailman will send the welcome e-mail but upon trying to send a message I get it bounced back and an error about the script running as nobody instead of mailman.
One person suggested a roundabout way of re-installing Mailman, but this doesn't really make sense, because shouldn't there be a Gentoo way to do it? The way this person described was to compile it manually and do it myself as opposed to emerging it and whatnot.
Did I miss a step or is there some way to correct this now? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Look at /var/mailman/Mailman/Defaults.py .. you should have a line like this one:
MAILMAN_USER = 'mailman' _________________ app-portage/genlop

The best I can tell is that this should have worked when I emerged it. So I don't know why I am getting this error. Is there anything I can do to correct it? It seems to me that this should work right away with no problem. |
