i am trying to update my system
i am getting the following error..
emerge -u system
Calculating system dependencies ...done!
!!! Error: the <dev-perl/ExtUtils-MakeMaker-6.05-r6 package conflicts with this package and both can't be installed on the same system together.
Does anyone know the solution to this?
Also, i have found that i sometimes get incompatibilities when i try and emerge, of a DEPEND nature, is it possible to move everything in /var/tmp/portage into another temporary directory to stop this happening?
Thanks

it wants to install a new version of perl which contains already this package. so unmerge the package before running the update by emerge unmerge dev-perl/ExtUtils-MakeMaker _________________ A mathematician is a machine for turning coffee into theorems. ~ Alfred Renyi (*1921 - †1970) |
