Whenever I run emerge, no matter what options I use, I get the following message:

# emerge rsync
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
Segmentation fault

It always worked fine before I went on a trip recently. The only thing that happened while I was gone was that my brother hard-booted the computer because he couldn't log in.
