Anyone have any ideas? I'm really interested in trying out the new koffice...

Same here.
Also trying to emerge older 0.0.7 or 0.0.8 fails with the same error.

I was able to complle koffice-1.3_beta1. I have tried to build it again recently however and ran into this problem with wv2. Fortunately I created a GRP package install for it. :D
Just out of curiousity do you have glib-2.2.1-r1. If you can emerge the glib-2.2.1.ebuild and try compiling wv2 again. It will still throw up the warnings but it should finish compiling. It worked for me at least.

I've got glib-2.2.1 already, not r1... any more ideas? What was this about a GRP package? What's that?

I make my own GRP packages to back up my system. GRP packages were released with 1.4_rc2 release, but they haven't released any in a while so I build my own.
I don't know if this will help you at all or not but this is the list of packages that were used when I successfully compiled koffice:

Code:
USE="-alsa -gnome -ldap acpi apm cups dga dvd flash gd gif gtk2 imap jpeg kde mpeg opengl pda png qt quicktime samba ssl truetype usb"

CFLAGS="-march=athlon-tbird -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"

What would this GRP package do? Is it just a binary release?

Those are the CFLAGS I use as well. It's a set binary packages that I built for koffice. Anyway if you can think of a way I would happy to send you the wv2 package. All you would have to do is place it in your "/usr/portage/packages/All" directory (if the All directory isn't there just create it) then do an "emerge -k wv2". Then you could just continue your build. The package isn't that big either it's 321 KB. I could send you the other packages if you want I suppose although there considerably larger and they may replace some packages you already have. :?

Hello Gents,

I had the same problem. Downgrading libgsf solved the problem. I love these forums. :-)

You'll need wv2-0.1.8 (Bug 26654) for koffice-1.3_beta3 m$ filters.

btw.: If wv2* with libgsf-1.8.0 does not work for you, you should probably file a bug. It works fine here.
