|
|
I've been trying to build GTK+ for a while now and can't get past the checks before it gives me an error message:
Quote: | * Please re-emerge x11-libs/cairo with the X USE flag set
*
* ERROR: x11-libs/gtk+-2.12.1-r2 failed.
* Call stack:
* ebuild.sh, line 1717: Called dyn_setup
* ebuild.sh, line 768: Called qa_call 'pkg_setup'
* ebuild.sh, line 44: Called pkg_setup
* gtk+-2.12.1-r2.ebuild, line 54: Called die
* The specific snippet of code:
* die "cairo needs the X flag set"
* The die message:
* cairo needs the X flag set
*
* If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.
* A complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/x11-libs/gtk+-2.12.1-r2/temp/build.log'.

However, I've tried re-emerging Cairo (which is what I'm assuming the message is suggesting?) and have searched the forum and tried what was suggested in this thread:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-628199-highlight-cairo.html
It didn't help and I still can't get the package to build. Any help will be appreciated! |

Well, did you do what it tells you to do and set the X USE flag? _________________ Be lucky,

I'm not quite sure how to go about it. |

Code: | USE="X" emerge cairo |
If your box is a desktop you may want to add "X" to your
global useflags in /etc/make.conf. |
