hello,
I'm currently having a very strange problem concerning my monitor it seems. When I turn on the computer it boots fine and shows the grub screen. Then I select gentoo linux to boot, hit enter and the screen goes blank:-( Nontheless the system boots up fine, I can login and start X (without seeing what I'm typing of course).
Now the strangest thing about it all is that this only happens when the computer has been turned off. When I just reboot I can see the bootup messages and all.
Any suggestions?

| what kernel are you using? i had a similar problem w/ a 2.6 kernel... ihad to turn console frame buffering off |
