Installation instructions for many different situations are available here, here, and here. If none of these documents addresses your situation, please tell us more details. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

when you have an existing linux box with working network/internet:
create one or more partitions (start at step 6 from install guide)
download the tbz2 tarball you want to use
open a terminal, and follow the instructions from the instal guide -> untar the tbz2 to the partition you just mounted according to the install-guifde. chroot to this partition and follow the rest of the instructions.
actually its the same as installing from cdrom except
Code: |
Code listing 16
# cd /mnt/gentoo
# tar -xvjpf /mnt/cdrom/stage?-*.tbz2
|
change mnt/cdrom in your partition (where you've saved the tbz2) _________________ haree |
