I've got a prisim 2 network card. Where is the driver for it? I started /etc/init.d/pcmcia, and inserted the card... but it just gave it power and beeped a low beep telling me it can't find the driver.
Bare with me, but I'm used to FreeBSD. All I did was plug it in and it worked...
The card is a prisim2 chipset PCMCIA card (Proxim RangeLAN-DS).

Code listing 21.4: PCMCIA depend in /etc/init.d/net.ethx
depend() {
need pcmcia
}
make sure your kernel supports pcmcia
plus, you have to emerge pcmcia-cs _________________ I do what I want, and that's what I do.
