I built a more "official" tutorial on how to tweak fontconfig to have sharp fonts like Windows XP's default configuration. It's basically a set of XML files with the Microsoft fonts: http://www.sharpfonts.com/
Please don't screem at me if you dislike Microsoft and its fonts |

I didn't realize my fonts weren't sharp...
On that link, I like polished better anyway. It's easier to read.

If it were that simple, there wouldn't be all these rules in the XML files
It took days to fine-tune... |
