|
|
Hi,
I emerged pose (the Palm OS Emulator), but strangely it does not run.
When I call pose, the process is aborted.
Looking at strace pose, I realized that it was failing after opening .poserrc:
Code: | stat64("/home/nilton/.poserrc", 0xbffff370) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/home/nilton/.poserrc", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
rt_sigprocmask(SIG_UNBLOCK, [ABRT], NULL, 8) = 0
kill(22437, SIGABRT) = 0
--- SIGABRT (Aborted) ---
+++ killed by SIGABRT +++
|
I created an empty .poserrc file, but it did not work either.
In resume, I cannot run pose. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
-- Nilton |

You might want to check and see if it put a sample rc file in /usr. Sometimes programs put sample ones there that you need to move into your home directory and edit yourself.
You could also download the tarball and extract it and see if its in there. There should be a README in the tarball on how to set it up as well. |

Did you finally succeed? I also realised that a poserrc is missing. But now, when I want to create a new session, it just crashes again.
BTW: there were no skins in the ebuild, I had to download them by hand. |
