if you use KDE, you should emerge kopete rather than ymessenger ...because it's faster and has support for all (i know about + some more) IMs _________________ tea+free software+law=hook
(deep inside i'm still a tux's little helper) |

Kopete supports full ymessenger?

If you want Yahoo support in Kopete, you have to install it manually from the CVS sources. There is documentation on http://kopete.kde.org that explains how to do this. It's relatively painless, but by being manual, doesn't incorporate into portage. _________________ Tim

I get this when I try "emerge ymessenger":

!!! (no error message)
Any suggestions? (Still working on getting the Mozilla Java plugin, so I thought I'd try this messenger in the meantime.) |
