Hi All,
I have a P4 3.06 w/ HT and HT is enabled and it shows up as two cpus in /proc/cpuinfo on redhat with the 2.4.20 kernel, but when I run gentoo it only shows up as once cpu. I have recompiled the kernel with acpi, cpu enumeration and smp but still no dice. It only shows up as once cpu. Does anyone have any experiece with this? I am trying to get it to work on 2.4.20-gentoo-r5.

from the help for CONFIG_ACPI_HT_ONLY:
In this configuration, ACPI defaults to off. It must be enabled
on the command-line with the "acpismp=force" option.
did you enable that?
ie for lilo add append="acpismp=force"
it refused to work for me untill I set that |
