I applied a stage2 build to a PII-233 on hdb, among 3 other physical drives; no doubt, dim-witted decision! But I just had fits placing on hda.
Anyhow, the install on hdb went well. However, I cannot boot into Gentoo. Can someone please advise me? Btw, I unsuccessfully attempted altering the boot sequence on m-board (to D). This led me into some kind of satanic loop - "grub, grub,...". Help much appreciated!

Try booting from the gentoo cd and typing this:
kernel /boot/bzImage root=/dev/hdb1
Of course change the root to where your root lies. _________________ This message self destructed a long time ago. |
