As much as I'd love to see this happening, we have a long way to go. The government held just a hearing from OSS proponents. At the next meeting MS representives will be heard and everything can change (and knowing our government I wouldn't be surprised if MS gets the deal).
The meetings are about selecting the technologies which will be used for the upcoming online government resources/services. Lets hopy Miki Eitan will get wise and choose the correct one. As previous implementations have shown, technologies built by MS are mostly accessable only to MS products (e.g: similar projects in England), and I wouldn't want my governemnt online infrastructure submitted to "MS security" solutions. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
