Hi,
When I tried to emerge openoffice with Java support I ran into a problem. The situation is as follows. I've a fresh Gentoo install with GCC 4.1.1. In my /etc/make.conf I've set -march=pentium-m in C{XX}FLAGS. Now, when I try to install openoffice it pulls in sun-jdk which in turn seems to pull in gcc-3.3.x. And this is where the problem starts because compiling of gcc fails because gcc 3.x doesn't know the pentium-m flag. What is the best way to solve this?
emerge --info
