Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone was able to get silc-plugin in pidgin working ...

these are my use-flags:

Code:
avahi bonjour crypt dbus -debug -doc eds gadu gnutls groupwise gstreamer gtk meanwhile msn ncurses -networkmanager nls perl -prediction qq sasl silc spell ssl startup-notification tcl tk xscreensaver -zephyr

Quote:
net-im/silc-toolkit
gentoo: 1.0 1.0.2 {:0}
installed: 1.0.2* {:0}

during start of pidgin with pidgin -d

I get:
Quote:

(16:27:47) plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/libsilcpurple.so is not loadable: undefine
d symbol: silc_default_ciphers

Quote:

(16:27:47) plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/libjabber.so is not usable because the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found. Does the plugin call the PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?

and some other stuff

many thanks in advance

this depends on silc-toolkit >=1.1.0, so you need to create an updated ebuild & reinstall pidgin afterwards

I still have the Problem to get Silc avaiable. I have silc-toolkit 1.1.2-r1 and the silc useflag.
What i really wonder is that "plugins: /usr/lib/purple-2/libsilcpurple.so" as kernelOfTruth has, that this isn't shown when i start with "pidgin -d". Is there anything i have to do before it?
Everyother protocol works at pidgin.
